In 1964, Johannes Kuipers started out as the local blacksmith in the Frisian village of Woudsend. Under the name Kuipers Woudsend the company grew into what it is now; a leading manufacturer of high-grade stainless steel products. From 1 employee then, to 90 in 2016. We produce both intermediate goods (products that will serve as the input for the manufacturing process of final goods) and final products. We take both commercial and private orders for professional welding work, construction work, press brake bending services, sheet metal processing services and engineering.
The Frisians have a rich history and a mentality of their own. Down-to-earth, but full of emotion. They are don’t much like flattery, bragging and pretentiousness and like no other they are aware of the fact that all people are equal. They feel that actions speak louder than words. Johannes Kuipers made whatever metal object needed making, he just did it. Simply because he was asked to. That Frisian sobriety, that kind of craftsmanship and commitment, it’s still here. Just come by and we will make whatever you need! Not seldom do we hear clients exclaim: ‘Wat kinne se eins net?’. (‘Is there anything they can’t do?’)
