Production
Depending on the client’s wishes, Kuipers Woudsend produces single products (parts) for one client and an entire process installation integrated with controls for another. Kuipers Woudsend performs inspections on internal pipe-pipe welds using an endoscope, ultrasonic thickness measurements (UTM) and surface roughness tests. We are licensed to re-stamp batch numbers.
Materials & machinery
In addition to the conventional machinery and materials needed for the production of stainless steel process equipment, Kuipers Woudsend also has:
A decoiler with a roll straightener and a guillotine shearing machine
Sheet metal cut at the right length is fed immediately into the computer-controlled ROUNDO 4 plate roller. This decoiler machine has an integrated system that can apply a protective foil onto the sheet metal.
Longitudinal seam welding machine for plasma/TIG welding of longitudinal seams
Orbital welding of pipe-to-pipe and tube-to-tube sheet. Welding carrousel for plasma/TIG welding. Vertical TIG butt welding machine. Modern TIG/MIG welders. Equipment for subtractive manufacturing processes, which adds to our flexibility and short lead times.
We carry out grinding, polishing, pickling and passivation work in-house.
All other surface treatments for stainless steel (glass bead blasting, electropolishing) are available within a 15-kilometre radius around Woudsend and they can all be integrated into the production process.
